ARREST SABINUS NOW, AGGRIEVED NIGERIANS TELL EFCC

Recently, there have been calls by concerned Nigerians for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to take action against Nigerian comedian, Emmanuel Chuwkwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as "Sabinus."

These calls came after he was alleged to have promoted and advertised a Ponzi scheme company, AI Mining, which has reportedly defrauded many people.

The company, which is allegedly owned by one Chiamaka Glory, was promoted by Sabinus through different videos, where he urged people to invest in it.

He was also one of the ambassadors of the Ponzi-like initiative. However, the app crashed, and many investors were left stranded, unable to receive their due payments. As a result, some subscribers who invested in the scheme have criticized Sabinus for promoting it.

In a petition to the EFCC, concerned Nigerians have called for Sabinus to be invited to reveal the identity of the people behind AI MINING since he was its ambassador.

They have also urged the anti-graft agency to reveal the real identity of the entities behind the license/certificate issued to AI Mining, which was operating at Church Gate Towers' 2nd floor.

Additionally, the petitioners have asked for the General Manager of NTA, FAAJI FM, and WAZOBIA to be invited to reveal the identity of people that contracted them to run a series of jingles for them under the company named AI MINING, which made millions of innocent Nigerians invest in their platform, leveraging on the integrity of those stations.

It is important to note that promoting Ponzi schemes is illegal in Nigeria, and anyone found guilty of this offense can be arrested and prosecuted.

The EFCC is responsible for investigating and prosecuting financial crimes in Nigeria, and it is commendable that concerned Nigerians have petitioned the agency to investigate the matter and hold those involved accountable.

Investing in Ponzi schemes is a high-risk venture that often leads to the loss of funds. It is essential that individuals exercise caution and do their due diligence before investing their money in any platform or scheme.

Seeking financial advice from reputable sources is advisable before making any investment decisions.
